When can I move in?
Anytime! Our Central office is open M-F 9am-5:30pm. Stop by anytime to rent a space. Needing a space after hours or on the weekends? No worries! Give us a call anytime, even after hours, at 616-874-8989 and we can rent you a unit.
What size storage unit do I need?
Check out our size guide or give us a call to get a recommendation.
What type of storage unit should I choose?
Will you be storing any electronics, photos, pictures, or antiques? If so, we think you should consider renting a climate controlled unit. In these units, temperature and humidity is regulated year round. This helps to ensure a safe environment for your items in the hot of summer and in the cold of winter.
What are the access hours?
You will have access to your unit 6am to midnight 365 days a year.
Will I have someone to contact if I have an issue or question after hours?
YES, we do our best to answer our phones on the evenings and weekends. If we don't answer right away, leave us a voicemail and we will be sure to reach back out shortly.
How long of a lease am I required to sign?
Our storage units are rented on a month-to-month basis. Feel free to use the space as much as you like or as little as you need.
How much notice needs to be given before move out?
We ask for a two weeks notice as a courtesy prior to move out. If you give us notice before the 1st of the month we can even do a prorate going into that next month to save you money on the move out.
Do I need to provide my own lock?
YES, you can either provide your own lock to use or you can purchase one in our office for only $12.99. We only allow a shielded lock to be used. If you choose to use your own lock, just make sure it matches our disc lock/shielded lock style and you will be all set.
Do you provide moving carts?
YES, we have moving carts available to help you move in at our Central location.
Do you sell boxes and other moving supplies?
YES, we have boxes, bubble wrap, tape, mattress covers and other helpful moving supplies available for purchase in our office at the Central location.
Am I required to purchase insurance?
Although we highly recommend that you have some insurance to cover your belongings while storing with us, we do not require you to have insurance or purchase ours. If you are looking for insurance coverage we recommend Deans and Homers Insurance. Give us a call if you would like a brochure. ***Please note. Many other storage companies now require you to purchase their insurance which can add $10-45 a month to your rental.
Renting A Storage Unit
What is climate control?
To help ensure a consistent environment, temperature is kept between 58F and 75F year round. These units are recommended for storing frajile items like computers, T.V.'s, antiques, photos, books, paintings, and other valuables.
What is a drive up unit?
Think of a drive-up unit as an extra garage. These units are on the ground floor and have an exterior entrance which allows for direct access to and from your vehicle.
How tall is a typical storage door? How tall are the ceilings?
Our drive up storage unit doors have a clearance of 7-9 ft high and our ceiling heights are about 8-14 ft high depending on the location.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept most credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), check, money order, cashiers check, and of course, cash.
Are there any items that I am not able to store?
Liquids, explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials and perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.
Can I book a reservation?
What are my payment options?
We strive to make your storage experience as convenient as possible, including paying your bill. Monthly payment can be made in-store, over the phone, or online by clicking "Pay" on the home screen. Looking for an even easier way to pay? Ask us about automatic monthly credit card payment options.
Do you offer discounts for long term storage?
YES, on our month to month storage options, we can offer a 5% discount if your prepay for one year and a 3% discount if you prepay for six months. See manager for details. **Please note that this discount does not apply to our Lake Bella Vista storage location because these spaces lease on an annual basis.
Do you offer discounts for military?
YES, we can offer a 5% discount on a unit to active military. Please see manager for details.
Is my price guaranteed as long as I stay?
We work hard to provide a value to our customers through pricing that is fair and by maintaining clean, safe, and secure facilities with exceptional customer service. Please keep in mind that your original monthly rate is not guaranteed for the life of your rental. From time to time, we may find it necessary to make adjustments to our customers’ rental rates in order to keep up with rising costs associated with managing a storage facility. We do promise, however, to give you proper advanced notice if we decide to make any changes.
Can I change to a different size if I've already moved in?
YES, just stop by our office to let a manager know and you can pick an available unit you would like to transfer into.
